Principal Note - November 20, 2020

Derfelt Families,
Next week is a short school week. School days next week are Monday and Tuesday. There is no school for students on November 25, 26, and 27. Thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times. CCSD is supporting the Governor’s Stay-at-Home 2.0. The Stay-at-Home 2.0 means that the Derfelt staff will be working from home/telecommuting until December 18, 2020. Please know your child’s schedule will not change. Derfelt is providing telecommuting services and full-time distance education for our students and families. Food distribution services will remain open next week (Monday and Tuesday 7:00 am to 10:00 am). On Tuesday, there will be a three-day bag of food (breakfasts and lunches) available. Food Services will resume normal services on November 30 (Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 10:00 am). Please remember breakfast and lunch are provided free of charge. If you need assistance, please contact us at (702) 799 – 4370 ext. 4100 or ext. 4006. If you need technology assistance during school hours (8:00 am to 2:11 pm), please join the google meet (meet.google.com code 465help), and assistance will be provided. Click here for an updated FAQ.
Stay Safe and Healthy,

District Survey
Thank you to those of you that have completed the district survey. If you have not completed the survey, please answer the short questionnaire at http://Ccsd.net/survey by November 20, 2020 for the cohort selection(s) for your children. If the District transitions to the hybrid instructional model, this information will guide the District's implementation of the proposed transition to the hybrid instructional model. At this time, we cannot give a date for opening, as we will only open in the hybrid model when the numbers indicate it would be safe to do so. If more information is needed about the hybrid plan, please visit ccsd.net and the hybrid plan is posted on the front page. Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the survey.
